  Beautiful sunrise & amazing tour guides! - Beautiful, organized tour! Our experience with Bagus Bali Sunrise Trekking was amazing. We were scheduled for pick up at 2 am, but our amazing driver, Putu, came earlier, and waited... read more patiently for us.

We had Kliwan as our hiking guide and it was great because we went as a group of 3 people, and he really took his time to guide us and was patient because we were slower than the other groups that were climbing the mountain. He also had excellent English, so communication was easy.

We went on a good day so the view of the sun rise was beautiful! We were also given walking sticks and headlights so that made the journey much easier. Be warned, as at the peak of the mountain was very chilly and windy. Breakfast and hot beverage was also provided, so that made the chill more bearable!

Overall amazing trip! Would definitely repeat this experience!

He adjusted his pace at any time, pointed out possible dangers when hiking and took appropriate breaks or not if requested ;) When we reached the top, a bench and a hot drink awaited us with a fantastic view of the sunrise! Absolutely worth it!!! We started from the quieter starting point, so there was little going on on the way - even the bench was a few meters below the top. The view is the same but much quieter and more “private”. After the sunrise, we were amazed at the masses of people at the top. The path is steep (sometimes more or less), sometimes “sandy”, a bit slippery or rocky - but that’s how it is in nature and with a volcano! Sensible footwear is a given. A (warming) jacket and long trousers are recommended!

Our guide Carik gave us a great time and taught us many things about the volcano. He was very mindful of our tempo, which was highly appreciated. Of all the guides I've been with he has the best English, owing to his time in the States. The hot springs at the end are a must for everybody, a great reward for your physical exertion.

WAYAN gave us interesting information about Batur. He can speak English very good!

Really nice and professional driver and was so good to have banana pancakes before we begun! Every member of staff we met was so friendly and helpful! The hike was pretty tough but sooo worth the view and experience of being up there. If you’re scared of heights then the summit might be a bit challenging as you are walking next to a crater! We feel SO lucky to have had Mangku as our guide!!! He is the most charming, polite and knowledgeable guide and made our experience even more special as we were able to learn even more about Balinese culture.
