He really made the experience, really chatty & gave us the option to go as fast/slow as we wanted. We were even able to choose whether we wanted to go up the slightly trickier or easier route. We chose the trickier and it was real good fun! As well as this we were joined by a lovely young boy Jero lanang who carries drinks in his bag for you to buy on the way up (really good price as well). When we reached the top the views were breathtaking and Jata prepared a lovely breakfast for us. The only thing I was worried about before the trip was being rushed back down but he gave us as much time as we wanted at the peak and helped us get some amazing pictures as well as feed the monkeys! The way down can be quite slippery but again Jata was super helpful. One of my favourite experiences since being in Bali and I would definitely recommend. Thanks again to Jata and Jero who really topped it off!

It was definitely too strenuous for a weakened 11 year old. When I thought we would need to turn back, our friendly guide Jata offered our daughter a ride on his back and carried her halfway up the mountain! He was worried she would be too cold at the top so he arranged for a place for her to rest that had a beautiful view of the sunrise. I stayed with her and my wife and older daughter went to the top. Jata carried her most of the way down as well. He further took some great pictures for us and generally made what could have been a dud of an outing into an amazing day.
