He was very good in estimating the time we will need and made sure we will see the sunrise. He is very good in taking pictures and even suggested how to pose. His breakfast preparing skills are excellent as well.

  My boyfriend and I went on the Batur Sunrise Hike in Bali. If you are considering doing this hike make sure you add this to your list! You will not... read more be disappointed. Our guide (Jata Yuna Manjku) was great. We really enjoyed his company and had great conversation walking up the mountain. At the top, he left us to enjoy the beginning of the sunrise while he made us breakfast (he’s also a great photographer). After the sunrise, we explored the top of the volcano where he shared with us the geographical history of the volcano (you can see and feel the steam rising from the vents). As for the sunrise- it was the most beautiful sunrise I have ever seen.

FYI-
This hike is approximately 5 hours long (2 to hike up- 1 to enjoy the view from the top- 2 to hike down)

ALSO- wear layers. Hiking up is surprisingly cold. (I wore shorts, sweats, a t-shirt, and a light jacket)

Additionally- pack a blanket and a water bottle. There are benches at the top you sit at while the sun rises and until the sun comes out, it can be quite cold! More

  We were collected from our villa in Seminyak at 1:30am, we drove to have a breakfast of coffee and banana pancakes to get some energy for the trek. We then... read more carried on to the trail at the bottom of Mount Batur to start the trek. I didn't bring a jacket because the weather was quite warm and I assumed that I would warm up more with the exercise of trekking up hill. While this was true and I was hot for the most part, it's probably good to at least bring a jumper or jacket for the top of the mountain if you plan to stay there for a while to take photos. You can rent a jacket at the start of the trek but it's better to bring your own if you want to save money. I also recommend that you wear hiking boots or at least trainers with good grip because the trail can be quite tricky in parts. Also I only noticed one toilet on the way back down that you had to pay to use so I recommend that you use the toilet before starting the trek. Our guides were friendly and helpful.

  Must do in Bali - The most amazing guide, Adi not only showed us the best sunrise spot but he is an excellent photographer! Highly rate this experience to anyone !!
