  So my friend and I stayed on Bali for 3 weeks. One thing on our agenda was doing a sunrise hike to Mt. Batur. A friend of us told us... read more abour Bagus and his hiking adventures and we texted him through whatsapp. He immediately replied and we booked.
During the night we got picked up by our guide Adi but on the way to the starting point we figured out that the road was in working progress so we couldn't pass with the car. Luckily Adi hat a great and he picked us up with his motorcycle and brought us one by one to the starting point which was soo kind of him because he didn't want us to miss our sunrise.
In general, Adi was so funny and we really enjoyed our time with him. We were telling jokes and laughed a lot hiking up and down. On the summit we got a nice breakfast and Adi took many pictures of us which will always remind us of this unforgettable trip. Madur suksma guys!

He adjusted his pace at any time, pointed out possible dangers when hiking and took appropriate breaks or not if requested ;) When we reached the top, a bench and a hot drink awaited us with a fantastic view of the sunrise! Absolutely worth it!!! We started from the quieter starting point, so there was little going on on the way - even the bench was a few meters below the top. The view is the same but much quieter and more “private”. After the sunrise, we were amazed at the masses of people at the top. The path is steep (sometimes more or less), sometimes “sandy”, a bit slippery or rocky - but that’s how it is in nature and with a volcano! Sensible footwear is a given. A (warming) jacket and long trousers are recommended!
