This hike is the most incredible experience and I am so glad we chose to do it with this company. It was very easy to organise over WhatsApp. The whole... read more trip was organised for us from start to finish. Really nice and professional driver and was so good to have banana pancakes before we begun! Every member of staff we met was so friendly and helpful! The hike was pretty tough but sooo worth the view and experience of being up there. If you’re scared of heights then the summit might be a bit challenging as you are walking next to a crater! We feel SO lucky to have had Mangku as our guide!!! He is the most charming, polite and knowledgeable guide and made our experience even more special as we were able to learn even more about Balinese culture. He took some insane pictures and was really helpful on more difficult bits of the hike. He really was absolutely wonderful and I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you so much Mangku!!! More

We had Kliwan as our hiking guide and it was great because we went as a group of 3 people, and he really took his time to guide us and was patient because we were slower than the other groups that were climbing the mountain. He also had excellent English, so communication was easy.
We went on a good day so the view of the sun rise was beautiful! We were also given walking sticks and headlights so that made the journey much easier. Be warned, as at the peak of the mountain was very chilly and windy. Breakfast and hot beverage was also provided, so that made the chill more bearable!
Overall amazing trip! Would definitely repeat this experience!

We were then brought to beginning of the trek where we met our guide Wayan Suar. The climb itself was very enjoyable with Wayan as our guide he allowed for breaks when needed and even took us an alternate (yet slightly harder) route to the top which was less crowded than the main one. At the top Wayan treated us to a much appreciated breakfast of hot tea, banana sandwiches, some fruit, and an egg that had been boiled over one of the steam vents of the volcano. Wayan was very accommodating when it came to taking photos at the summit for every phase of the sunrise and even posed with us for a couple. After the hike back down we jumped back in the car with Adi and headed off to the remote north of Bali (2hour drive) to visit the beautiful but lesser known waterfalls of Sekumpul. I would highly recommend this as a stop as it is far less crowded and more impressive than the Tegenungan waterfall we had seen the day before. Our guide for the waterfall Sugi was great. He had very good English, a great sense of humor and was very chatty and informative throughout the tour. On the way...
