We were then brought to beginning of the trek where we met our guide Wayan Suar. The climb itself was very enjoyable with Wayan as our guide he allowed for breaks when needed and even took us an alternate (yet slightly harder) route to the top which was less crowded than the main one. At the top Wayan treated us to a much appreciated breakfast of hot tea, banana sandwiches, some fruit, and an egg that had been boiled over one of the steam vents of the volcano. Wayan was very accommodating when it came to taking photos at the summit for every phase of the sunrise and even posed with us for a couple. After the hike back down we jumped back in the car with Adi and headed off to the remote north of Bali (2hour drive) to visit the beautiful but lesser known waterfalls of Sekumpul. I would highly recommend this as a stop as it is far less crowded and more impressive than the Tegenungan waterfall we had seen the day before. Our guide for the waterfall Sugi was great. He had very good English, a great sense of humor and was very chatty and informative throughout the tour. On the way... On the way back to our hotel Adi obliged us by stopping at the famous Ulun Danu Beratan however it was far too crowded and hard to properly enjoy. Beautiful temple though. Arrived back in Ubud at 5pm and called it a night after a long and very enjoyable day. More

A Heartwarming and Fulfilling Hike - we had a private tour for 12 pax, and below are the reviews from some of our participants!
the guides were all very helpful and patient. when some of... read more us needed to go at a slower pace, they would stop for us and wait till we were ready to go. on terrains where the path was more uneven, they would slowly help us get through by holding on to us until we could go on our own. particularly, [the female guide] was very kind in holding my hand throughout the final portion of the hike as I was scared to go on my own. I was very thankful for all the guides who were there on our hike, especially [the female guide].
Tana and Cleewen were very friendly, likeable and attentive guides who would make an effort to talk to you! 10/10 recommend Bagus Bali Sunrise Trekking for the BEST experience climbing Mt. Batur :)

Their sincerity in sharing their stories, their professionalism in conducting and pacing the trek, and their genuine care and concern for the safety of each and every member of their group is deeply appreciated. I wish them all the best and again wholeheartedly recommend their employment as your guides for your upcoming treks in Bali.

We did the Mt Batur hike in early September and it was amazing! Picked up on time and when we arrived at a small cafe we were offered pancakes and... read more tea/coffee before being taken to the foot of the mountain where we were introduced to our tour guide Jata. He really made the experience, really chatty & gave us the option to go as fast/slow as we wanted. We were even able to choose whether we wanted to go up the slightly trickier or easier route. We chose the trickier and it was real good fun! As well as this we were joined by a lovely young boy Jero lanang who carries drinks in his bag for you to buy on the way up (really good price as well). When we reached the top the views were breathtaking and Jata prepared a lovely breakfast for us. The only thing I was worried about before the trip was being rushed back down but he gave us as much time as we wanted at the peak and helped us get some amazing pictures as well as feed the monkeys! The way down can be quite slippery but again Jata was super helpful. One of my favourite experiences since being in Bali and I would definitely recommend. Thanks again to Jata and Jero who really topped it off! More
