We very much liked our tour with Wayan Suar, he was very knowledgable and made sure we felt safe. Wayan is also a good fotographer! We took the hard route... read more which was more quiet and when we reached the summit he found a quiet spot for us to watch the amazing sunrise. The hotsprings were a welcome treat after the trek. Would definitely recommend!
August 28, 2019 This was one of the best experiences I did on Bali! I was taken on the mountain by Gede and he gave the most incredible tour telling me about... read more the history of the mountain, being very patient and stopping when I needed breaks, as well as making the hike feel more like an experience than a tour! He was smiling the whole way up and by the end we parted ways feeling more like a friend than a tour guide.
Not to mention he was the ULTIMATE hype man always offering to take photos, videos, and adding in some cool photographic touches that I will cherish as the best memory I have in Bali.
I had done quite a lot of research and inquired to many companies about doing a solo trip as I am a female currently solo-traveling Bali and all of them asked for double the price and 2-people minimum bookings. This! However, was the only tour that HAPPILY accommodated my solo-request.
Couldn’t be more pleased :).Emily M

Beautiful sunrise & amazing tour guides! - Beautiful, organized tour! Our experience with Bagus Bali Sunrise Trekking was amazing. We were scheduled for pick up at 2 am, but our amazing driver, Putu, came earlier, and waited... read more patiently for us.
We had Kliwan as our hiking guide and it was great because we went as a group of 3 people, and he really took his time to guide us and was patient because we were slower than the other groups that were climbing the mountain. He also had excellent English, so communication was easy.
We went on a good day so the view of the sun rise was beautiful! We were also given walking sticks and headlights so that made the journey much easier. Be warned, as at the peak of the mountain was very chilly and windy. Breakfast and hot beverage was also provided, so that made the chill more bearable!
Overall amazing trip! Would definitely repeat this experience!

I didn't bring a jacket because the weather was quite warm and I assumed that I would warm up more with the exercise of trekking up hill. While this was true and I was hot for the most part, it's probably good to at least bring a jumper or jacket for the top of the mountain if you plan to stay there for a while to take photos. You can rent a jacket at the start of the trek but it's better to bring your own if you want to save money. I also recommend that you wear hiking boots or at least trainers with good grip because the trail can be quite tricky in parts. Also I only noticed one toilet on the way back down that you had to pay to use so I recommend that you use the toilet before starting the trek. Our guides were friendly and helpful.
