Mount Batur is an active volcano located in Batur village, Kintamani Bali. The Mount Batur difficulty level is moderate. Although the hike quite easy, mount Batur offer beauty sunrise from the peak completely with amazing landscape in surrounding area. This is the reason why lots of tourists from many countries come to this mountain on early morning to get an awesome experience.

This mountain located about 2 hours drive from Denpasar city and if you would like to see sunrise from their summit, the best time to start is from early morning. Example if you are book a accommodation in Kuta, 1.30 am is the best time to start driving from your hotel to Kintamani (mount Batur).

HIKING AT ACTIVE VOLCANO

For your information, mount Batur is active volcano! From the top of this mountain you will able to see some smokes coming out around the entry crater. This is proof that mount Batur is still active today.

From the government record, since years 1.804 until years 2.000 this volcano has been erupt for 26 times and the biggest eruption is on years 1.963. Moreover according to Geologists, before the big eruption on 29.300 years ago mount Batur is a huge mountain with elevation about four thousand meters.

• 01.30 – 03.00: Pick up at your hotel with private AC car (we will send you the exact pick up time a day before the tour)
• 03.45: Arrive at mount Batur trekking start point, meet with our mount Batur trekking guide and trekking to the summit point is begin,
• 05.30 – 06.00: Arrive at peak of mount Batur
• 06.15: Breakfast time, breakfast we served include of banana sandwich, boiled egg, some cookies, fresh fruits and hot drink (tea, coffee, or hot chocolate),
• 07.00: Continue the trip with walking around the main crater (long trip) or just going down with shorter trek (short trip)
