The hike to see the sunrise on top of Mt. Batur was one of the best experiences yet! Right from the very beginning of the trip, everything was very organized... read more and timely. Our driver picked us up from our hotel all the way down in Kuta right on time, and drove us safely to every destination point. The early morning snack (banana pancake) before the hike was very delicious too!

We were so lucky to have an amazing guide, Mangku. He was so attentive, kind, and patient with all of us, always asking if we were okay and needed a break. He even worked wonders on my ankle when I sprained it while going down the trail! He assisted me when going down very steep and slippery paths and made sure that I wasn’t in any pain. Thank you so much for that!

The view from the top of the mountain was unbelievably amazing. Once we reached the top, we had an ample amount of time to rest, stay warm, and take pictures. Mangku took us to the highest peak where it wasn’t so crowded, and he knew where the hot spots are to have a really good view of the sunrise and scenery. He also had amazing photography skills! While waiting for the sunrise, we were provided with breakfast and tea. Thank you Mangku for being so patient and kind to us, and making sure that we made it to the top and bottom safely!

After Mount Batur, we hiked Sekumpul Waterfall with a guide. The view at the waterfall was amazing as well. Our tour guide was also excellent and made sure we climbed down and back up from the waterfall safely. Later during the trip, the tour company arranged for us an amazing lunch with a local restaurant. The mie goreng we had was very delicious!

I highly recommend this tour and company if you are in Bali and planning a trip to see the sunrise and waterfall. The view was incredible and nothing I’ve ever seen before. It was so worth waking up at 1am for this! Thank you very much for the amazing experience!

Batur. We left the summit around 4:15 AM and arrived at the peak 15 mins before sunrise with the help of Wiyan, wouldn’t have been able to do it without him. My wife and I had never hiked before and it was quite the difficult trek but Wiyan was understanding in giving us breaks and taking us through the best path.   Kliwan is the best guide, thank you! - Our tour guide Kliwan was extremely nice, friendly, and helpful. Provided head lamps and hiking poles and helped us carry small items and water. Patient to stop whenever we needed... read more to catch our breath. Very private hike on the way up - we were one of two groups of two total we saw hiking. Checkpoints along the way to catch a break and buy water/snacks. Kliwan was able to communicate well with the two of us in both Indonesian and English. Dress in layers, wear hat and waterproof jacket, shoes can get muddy. Breakfast at the top is very nice, noodles and egg, coffee and hot chocolate. Kliwan was great, funny and thoughtful and we were so lucky to have him! We had fog at the top, still extremely lovely, don’t worry about light rain or fog, experience is still amazing!

He really made the experience, really chatty & gave us the option to go as fast/slow as we wanted. We were even able to choose whether we wanted to go up the slightly trickier or easier route. We chose the trickier and it was real good fun! As well as this we were joined by a lovely young boy Jero lanang who carries drinks in his bag for you to buy on the way up (really good price as well). When we reached the top the views were breathtaking and Jata prepared a lovely breakfast for us. The only thing I was worried about before the trip was being rushed back down but he gave us as much time as we wanted at the peak and helped us get some amazing pictures as well as feed the monkeys! The way down can be quite slippery but again Jata was super helpful. One of my favourite experiences since being in Bali and I would definitely recommend. He frequently asked if we needed breaks along the way and took some awesome photos. Although we didn’t see much of a sunrise it’s still my number one experience in Bali ️️
