There are... read more a few routes and I would suggest once you summit to keep walking around the ridge where there are some monkeys which live on the volcano, the scenery is also completely different. This company has 200-250 guides supporting the local people. If you can, leave a small tip for your guide it makes a big difference to them as a lot are farmers and hike the route for tourists 5-6 times a week or more.

  My wife and I came to Bali for our honeymoon and were recommended here by our driver, we had a private tour with Wiyan Saur It was a great... read more recommendation because we both had an amazing experience. Wiyan was very knowledgeable of the path and helped my wife and I in the more difficult parts of the path. He also was the best photographer around taking breathtaking photos for us on top of Mt. Batur. We left the summit around 4:15 AM and arrived at the peak 15 mins before sunrise with the help of Wiyan, wouldn’t have been able to do it without him. My wife and I had never hiked before and it was quite the difficult trek but Wiyan was understanding in giving us breaks and taking us through the best path. I would highly recommend Bagus and Wiyan for your Mt. Batur trek - they also give you tea and breakfast before you begin and a meal to have on top of the mountain. There is no better company and guide than Bagus and Wiyan - you can rest assured they will take great care of you. More

  We did the Mt Batur hike in early September and it was amazing! Picked up on time and when we arrived at a small cafe we were offered pancakes and... read more tea/coffee before being taken to the foot of the mountain where we were introduced to our tour guide Jata. He really made the experience, really chatty & gave us the option to go as fast/slow as we wanted. We were even able to choose whether we wanted to go up the slightly trickier or easier route. We chose the trickier and it was real good fun! As well as this we were joined by a lovely young boy Jero lanang who carries drinks in his bag for you to buy on the way up (really good price as well). When we reached the top the views were breathtaking and Jata prepared a lovely breakfast for us. The only thing I was worried about before the trip was being rushed back down but he gave us as much time as we wanted at the peak and helped us get some amazing pictures as well as feed the monkeys! The way down can be quite slippery but again Jata was super helpful. One of my favourite experiences since being in Bali and I would definitely recommend.
