The trip took almost 2 hours from the parking to the top of... read more the mountain (with many breaks). We got hot drinks (tea or coffee) and breakfast on top during the sunrise.
WAYAN gave us interesting information about Batur. He can speak English very good!
Highly recommend!

He also... read more told us we had the best guide, Mangku, which made my fiancé and I even more excited! Mangku, was very friendly, professional and good to chat too! He frequently asked if we needed breaks along the way and took some awesome photos. Although we didn’t see much of a sunrise it’s still my number one experience in Bali ️️

Our driver was... read more at our lodging (which was actually very far from Batur) way before the official pick up time, waiting, which if you consider was at around 1am, was impressive!

Our guide was excellent - a very nice unassuming guy who has been climbing the peak for many years. He was always checking in with us, and he customised our experience a little since we said we wanted to go by a less crowded and more challenging route. When we reached the top, he eagerly sussed out the best spot for us, prepping everything just to make sure we were comfy. Later on, he offered to take lots of photos and even videos of us (even though we didnt ask him to).. really appreciate his proactiveness and great service, which gave us a few good photos and memories to look back on.

I'd highly recommend bagus bali. I had an overall wonderful experience with them and especially our guide though sadly I cannot recall his name.

Pick up was prompt and you are provided with a banana pancake breakfast before making your way to the base.... read more A seperate guide will lead you the top - letting you set the pace and take as many breaks as required. Hot drink and second breakfast is provided at the top. It is really really cold at the top so make sure you take multiple layers to be able to enjoy the sunrise!! We opted out of the hot spring but the trek was enjoyable all the same. Would recommend.
