Able to take many breaks along the way, while local guide provided some history of the trek and area. Arrival at the top was beautiful, breath-taking, and COLD. Mangku prepared my breakfast and I sat and watched the sunrise. Mangku also took amazing photos of me with the beautiful volcanoes, lake and sun as my backdrop. Pick up from Ubud was timely, safe driver. Headed to hot springs for a dip afterwards (almost felt like an adult water park), didn’t spend much time here.   So my friend and I stayed on Bali for 3 weeks. One thing on our agenda was doing a sunrise hike to Mt. Batur. A friend of us told us... read more abour Bagus and his hiking adventures and we texted him through whatsapp. He immediately replied and we booked.
During the night we got picked up by our guide Adi but on the way to the starting point we figured out that the road was in working progress so we couldn't pass with the car. Luckily Adi hat a great and he picked us up with his motorcycle and brought us one by one to the starting point which was soo kind of him because he didn't want us to miss our sunrise.
In general, Adi was so funny and we really enjoyed our time with him. We were telling jokes and laughed a lot hiking up and down. On the summit we got a nice breakfast and Adi took many pictures of us which will always remind us of this unforgettable trip. Madur suksma guys!

We are so glad we chose the right company to take us up the mountain too! The manager of Bagus Bali was very prompt and responsive to our queries and booking. As we were based in Ubud, our pick up time was 2:15am in the morning. The driver was exactly on time to pick us up! Upon entering the car I noted that the driver’s seat was down and he said he had actually arrived earlier at 1ish am in the morning because he didn’t want to be late for our pick up! I was immediately impressed with his professionalism. He took us to his company’s HQ for an early morning breakfast of coffee and banana pancakes which was delicious. And when we were done, he took us to the base of the mountain to meet our guide Jata Yuna. We feel incredibly blessed to have met such a caring and wonderful guide. He was patient and thoughtful throughout the trek. Making sure that we were comfortable with the pace and checking with us to see if we would like to stop for rests. We felt well taken care of by Jata throughout the entire trek and I can see that our safety is of his utmost concern. When we thanked him profusely at the end of such a wonderful morning, he told us humbly that his job was just to ensure that we enjoyed ourselves that morning!

We had such a great time that we would like to return again once our two kids are old enough to navigate the trek! We were glad we went with Bagus Bali for this experience. They were responsive, responsible and professional. We appreciated their services greatly. More

We've done many amazing things so far on the trip, but the most fun and rewarding so far has been the sunrise Hike at Mt. Batur with Bagus Bali Sunrise Trekking. I definitely didn't want to get up in the middle of the night for the trip, but the refreshments at the cafe before the hike really lifted my spirits.

The hike itself was challenging, though if you only watched our guide Jata move up the mountain you wouldn't think so. With his guidance we were able to make the trek and his knowledge of the trail helped us move at a steady pace while conserving enough energy to finish. He also made us a nice breakfast at the summit and took photos for us. If I'm ever in Bali again I will definitely do this hike again with Bagus Bali Sunrise Trekking. More
